WTF- I Swear I'm Easy!

Some women expect to be lavished with gifts and glorious accommodations their whole lives.  They like it when their men buy them expensive things and then they actually wear them.  They demand Rolls Royces and champagne at every meal.  They will stay nowhere but the Ritz.  They never get their hands dirty.  If they want a garden, they have gardeners.  If they want homecooked meals they get a chef.

I look at these women and just fall down laughing.  I couldn't even pretend to want to live that life.  I'd be busy showing the gardener how to dig and the cleaning lady how to scrub.  I just couldn't be a millionaire's wife or daughter.

Never.

It's really the simple things that just make my day.  My week, actually.

Seriously.  This is it.

If you walked into my bathroom, saw that the toilet paper roll needed to be changed and actually did it AND recycled the old roll, I think I'd drop dead in gratitude right there.

I'm not kidding.  It seems everywhere I go, no one puts toilet paper on the rolls anymore.  Everyone just sort of leans it on the old roll and you have to hold it and roll it off yourself.

I. CAN'T. STAND. THAT.

I don't care if you prefer to have the paper roll over or under.  Just make it roll.  Don't leave me the roll to deal with myself.  Something about it gets every last nerve I have fired right up.  I have no explanation for it.  It's right up there with nails on a chalkboard.

I almost think NO toilet paper would not upset me more than a roll of toilet paper that isn't on the holder.

I love it when I can just pull some paper off the roll in the middle of the night and go right back to bed.  No holding it with one hand while I spin it off with the other.

Simple, I tell you.  Really.  Just the simplest things.

  2. Totally get this one! I live in a house with 3 other adults. The extra rolls of toilet are on a rack underneath the toilet paper holder. But do any of them replace it? NO! How hard is this!?! BTW it should roll over the top of the roll. LOL!

  4. This is a constant argument in our household. I am bad about putting it on the roll, but part of it is passive/aggressive b/c hubs will purposely leave one little square left on the roll so he won't have to change it.

  5. I think I'm the only person in the house who knows how to change the paper roll. One night I'm going to gag my husband with it. Seriously.

  6. After spending 3 days in the stifling MA heat, my bathroom standards have gone way down. With that said, 2-ply on the roll is kind of nice.

  7. I actually cringed at the nails on a chalkboard part. I hate the not replacing the toilet paper thing. HATE it. But...my husband and I are both guilty of doing it. How hard is it to just put it on the roll?! For us? Very hard, apparently.
